The highly-rated youngster has been linked with a move to several clubs and opted for Manchester City. Now he has revealed what made him decide this way.

The 19-year-old will join Manchester City in January from Palmeiras for £27 million. He made last season 30 league appearances for his club and scored 16 goals.

Several big European clubs were interested in him but he told 'The Guardian' what influenced him. It was Pep Guardiola himself who called the youngster in order to convince him. "The presence of Guardiola as manager of City, and the fact that it is a great club, were very important factors in my final decision.

"Guardiola's phone call was a huge part of me deciding to go there. It made me realise that I'd love to work with him.

"I don't know him personally but he made me feel very safe about his project. It was a complicated decision but, in the end, my desire to learn won", he said. The Spaniard helped him to resolve his doubts and questions. We're excited to see him in the Premier League.
