Medical Store Department (MSD) to supply Medicine by using Drones.

THE MEDICAL STORE DEPARTMENT (MSD) 

The Ministry of Health, Social Development, Gender, Elderly, Children, and Drug (MSD) have signed an agreement with Zipline International Inc. for the transport service by using drones without difficulty. According to the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mpoki Reduced this service will be implemented since 2018, with a start-to-date trial on DDD and Mwanza MSD zones where total of 10 regions will benefit and subsequently expand the service across the country to ensure that the essential drugs reach the people.

MSD's CEO, Mr Lauraan Bwanakunu, said the essential drugs that would be transported to these non-contaminated aircraft include vaccines, lifespan, Folic & Ferus, Oxtocin and Acne Pneumonia Treatment (Amoxicillin DT) and Magnesium Sulphate Injection. Zipline Company's executive director Keller Rinaudo said they would have four terminals for throwing non-striped aircraft that each one will have 30 aircraft that will be able to travel 500 times a day.
