BARCELONA'S MARC- TER STEGEN NEW LIFE AFTER BRAVO'S DEPARTURE

Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen to Be Rewarded With Bumper New Deal Following Claudio Bravo's Exit

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is set to sign a lucrative new deal at the Nou Camp as Barcelona look to tie down the future of their key men in the coming weeks.

Goal quote president Josep Maria Bartomeu's comments to RAC1, which suggest that the Catalan chiefs recognise Ter Stegen as an emerging presence at the club following Claudio Bravo's departure to join former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

After a busy final week in the transfer window, the Nou Camp outfit have now diverted their attentions to the future with the German goalkeeper
set to put pen to paper once more, despite having three years left on his current deal.

Dutch shot stopper Jasper Cillessen was just one of the names to arrive at the club in a bid to improve Luis Enrique's squad depth, as the transfer deadline loomed.

However Ter Stegen, who joined the club in 2014 from Borussia Monchengladbach following Victor Valdes' Nou Camp exit, appears set to continue between the sticks for the Blaugrana after Bartomeu reserved special praise for the 24-year-old.

Star men Ivan Rakitic, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are to begin talks with the club over deals to remain in Catalunya, whilst Neymar signed on the dotted line earlier this summer.

Ter-Stegen is now thought of alongside these players, and is considered to play an important role in the club's future after sharing the gloves with Bravo in their two years together at Barca.

"[Ter Stegen] is a fundamental piece in the future of Barcelona.

"Rakitic, Suarez and Messi, he is a lynchpin and our commitment to him is strong," added Barcelona's president.
